I saw this on G+ and really had to share this. Nithin Prabhakar originally shared the post. These 100 items spoke to me and inspired some new ideas…i hope it does the same for you…

1. Just because someone has an expensive camera doesn’t mean that they’re a good photographer.

2. Always shoot in RAW. Always.

3. Prime lenses help you learn to be a better photographer.

4. Photo editing is an art in itself.

5. The rule of thirds works 99% of the time.

6. Macro photography isn’t for everybody.

7. UV filters work just as well as lens caps.

8. Go outside and shoot photos rather than spending hours a day on photography forums.

9. Capture the beauty in the mundane and you have a winning photograph.

10. Film isn’t better than digital.

11. Digital isn’t better than film.

12. There is no “magic” camera or lens.

I decided to try and set some goals for 2012. Every year I usually fail at it…so here’s to a new year! These are not in a specific order…

1.) Save up for a new camera…either the Canon T3i or 60D…i’m terrible at saving money… 

2.) read two one book a month…will see how that goes

3.) read through the bible

4.) get out of debt

5.) Survive spring semester and my classes

6.) become a better photographer

7.) design my first website

This is just a few…hopefully I will add more to this list….

Every year I try to set some goals for myself and most of the time I fail at it…hopefully 2012 well be a better year in goals completed…
